To bring back the health and beauty of the Sapangdaku River in Toledo City, the Sapangdaku River Task Force was reconvened.

Engr. Edgardo M. Oporto attended the Technical Working Group that discussed measures to bring back Sapangdaku river to its healthy state.

At least eight barangays where the river traverse attended the meeting that discussed a possibility of limiting the extraction of sand and gravel to manual extraction.

Sapangdaku river has been the source of sand and gravel extraction for most SAG and ISAG operators in Toledo City.

They also discussed on engaging the women in the eight barangays to help clean-up the river.

At least four apprehensions of illegal operations were already made since the Task Force was reconvened.
