PHOTOS: MGB 7 joins ICC Day activity in Calajoan, Minglanilla, Cebu

Nine Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Region 7 volunteers participated in this year’s International Coastal Cleanup Day held in Calajoan, Minglanilla, Cebu.

The event, mainly organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Central Visayas under Proclamation No. 470 (September 15, 2003), which designates the third Saturday of September as International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day, brought together various national government agencies to observe this global environmental initiative.

During the cleanup activity, MGB 7 collected approximately 20 kilos of waste, consisting mainly of old textiles, plastic and glass bottles, cigarette butts, wood waste, and other assorted debris, contributing to the ongoing efforts to protect our coastal ecosystems. (IO/MGB7)
