MGB7 TECHNICAL TEAM IN PENROS/CENROS ATTEND ORIENTATION CAMP IN MANILA

Six Technical Personnel of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) 7 recently attended DENR Central Orientation Camp at the Swiss-Belhotel Blulane in Manila on June 13-15, 2022.

MGB7 attendees were five mining engineers and one geologist stationed at the different Provincial/Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices in Region 7 serving as frontline staff in the implementation of the mining laws, rules and regulations in each locality.

Aside from a refresher lecture on the Salient Features of RA No. 7942, its IRR and other related policies to mining; Permitting System and Devolved Functions, the speakers tackled also the different guidelines and updates on recent DENR-MGB policies.

“The (re) orientation serves as a refresher training for our technical personnel to acquire vital, fresh, and current knowledge about their respective fields. It encourages confidence and contributes to a more efficient and productive workforce,” says MGB 7 Regional Director Armando L. Malicse.
