In celebration of the Month of the Planet Earth with the theme “Doing Our Fair Share in Restoring the Earth,” the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) 7 Information Officer Heart Rizarri presented the Importance of Mining and MGB’s programs and services to selected YES-O students and teachers of Labangon Elementary School in a webinar on April 16.

The stewardship forum webinar is part of the environment education advocacy initiated by the Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG) 7 of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 7 to disseminate information, education, and communication campaigns on DENR projects and programs as well as various ENR celebrations under the administration of Secretary Roy Cimatu.

MGB-7 Regional Director Armado Malicse lauded the RSCIG-7 in disseminating knowledge on mining and natural resources towards better understanding and more motivation for the children to help save Mother Earth. (MGB7-IO)
