The MINES AND GEOSCIENCES BUREAU 7 stands united with the Philippine Commission on Women and the entire nation as we commence the celebration of the 2024 National Women’s Month this March.

This year’s celebration aims to build upon the recurring theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive society,” introduced in 2023. This underscores the significance of fostering compassionate and united networks that advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The sub-theme for the 2024 National Women’s Month Celebration, “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!” is aligned to reshape societal norms towards a more just and inclusive future. It echoes the objectives outlined in Chapter 15 of the Updated Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Plan 2019–2025, emphasizing the need for cultural transformation.

The Local Government of Pavia urges all Pavianhons to actively support women’s empowerment and the Gender and Development (GAD) goals through various initiatives and engagements.

One such initiative is the observance of Purple Monday and Friday. Let us all wear something purple every Monday and Friday throughout March to signify our solidarity with women’s empowerment and gender equality. This action serves as a celebration and a catalyst for meaningful discussions surrounding the occasion.
