MGB 7 welcomes three devoted professionals to the ranks of permanent employees

MGB 7 took pride in celebrating the regularization of three competent individuals on June 5, 2025. This significant event marked the formal assumption of permanent positions for Althea Joy S. Panilagan, Engr. Peter Gamaliel A. Semblante, and Engr. Jacob M. Densing.

Althea Joy S. Panilagan, now appointed as Administrative Assistant II, is a proud graduate of the University of Cebu – Lapulapu and Mandaue Campus. In March 2021, she was hired by MGB Region 7. Her dedication and organizational skills have consistently contributed to the office’s efficient operations.

Engr. Peter Gamaliel A. Semblante, designated as Community Affairs Officer II, is a licensed engineer who graduated from the Cebu Institute of Technology University. He joined MGB Region 7 in 2021. Engr. Semblante is a recognized intellect, having frequently participated in and secured wins in the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Quiz Bees. He is noted for his analytical abilities and broad understanding of various topics..

Engr. Jacob M. Densing, now serving as Mining Claims Examiner II, is also a licensed engineer and a graduate of Cebu Institute of Technology University. He has been with MGB Region 7 since January 2020. His role includes assisting in field investigations and providing support to permit holders regarding compliance and documentation requirements.

Regional Director Armando L. Malicse administered the oath of office. The ceremony was also attended by Engr. Edgardo C. Loquellano, Chief of the Mine Management Division; Engr. Edgar C. Lagarnia, Chief of the Mine Safety, Environment, and Social Development Division (MSESDD); Al Emil G. Berador, Chief of the Geosciences Division; and Ms. Aira L. Torregosa, Chief of the Finance and Administrative Division, along with their supportive colleagues—all of whom joined in celebrating this important milestone.

A total of 35 appointments were processed and approved, consisting of 17 original appointments and 18 promotional appointments, all issued during the tenure of RD Malicse.
