Information Officers from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Central Visayas recently underwent a re-orientation training on May 2, 2023, at the MGB 7 Training Hall.
The training covered the Mines and Geosciences Bureau’s (MGB) mandate, mission, and vision, as well as the functions of each division and their roles and responsibilities, policies, programs, and services relevant to mining and environmental laws.
The training was conducted by Engr. Anjaylove S. Geniston from the Mine Management Division, Josephine T. Aleta from the Geosciences Division, and Engr. Ramcie S. Brillante from the Mine Safety, Environment, and Social Development Division. They discussed important and relevant topics to equip the Information Officers with the knowledge and facts necessary to effectively communicate and disseminate accurate and up-to-date information to the public and stakeholders.
The MGB 7 Regional Director Armando L. Malicse also attended the activity and gave the closing remarks, expressing his appreciation for the Information Officers’ dedication and commitment to their role in the dissemination of information. He emphasized the importance of their role in ensuring that accurate and reliable information reaches the public and stakeholders. (IO/MGB7)
