MGB 7 personnel joined the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Meeting conducted by Eagle Cement Corporation as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for the proposed Eagle Ginatilan Quarry Expansion Project in Barangays Guiwanon, Looc, Cagsing, Poblacion, Campsiong and Malatboin.

Eagle Cement presented its company portfolio and proposed project during a meeting with local officials and residents. Through an open forum, participants were given the opportunity to share their views on the proposed project and provide valuable inputs as well. This kind of community participation is essential in the planning process of any mining project, in compliance with PD 1151 and PD 1586.

By engaging with the community, mining stakeholders show their commitment to responsible and sustainable development, where the people’s needs and concerns are considered. (MGB7/IO)
