An international certifying body now warrants the standards of management of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau – Region 7 (MGB-7).
After the rigorous audit and assiduous evaluation of the various processes and manuals, the international body granted MGB-7 the ISO 9001:2015 Certification early this year.
This certification capped the Regional Bureau’s arduous two-year journey towards establishing a Quality Management System in the Geology Division and its support services in the Finance and Administrative Division.
“It is an honor to be at par with the international standards of management. The certification is an assurance that the Geosciences Division can ensure consistent quality service to our clients, partners, and stakeholders,” said OIC – Regional Director Efren B. Carido.
“We will maintain our commitment to continually improve the delivery of quality public service,” he added.
AJA Registrars, an independent third-party body granted and registered the certification last January 17, 2019.
With the certification, MGB – 7 is more focused on monitoring and measuring the performance and various operations to continuously enhance the management processes to improve client satisfaction.
“This is a promise that the regional bureau will consistently fulfill its mandate and address citizen’s needs and expectations,” Carido said.
ISO Certification is part of the national government’s direction for all agencies to demonstrate effective management and good government through its quality processes.
