Mines and Geosciences Bureau – Central Visayas Regional Director Engr. Loreto B. Alburo was recognized as the Top Performing Regional Director of the entire bureau.

For accomplishing the Plans and Programs of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau in 2016, MGB Director Wilfredo G. Moncano awarded Alburo as Top Performing Regional Director for 2016 after a very rigorous audit of the accomplishments for the calendar year 2016. The audit was conducted by the MGB Central Office in 2017. Accomplishments for the year 2017 is yet to be conducted.

Since Alburo assumed the Office of the Regional Director for Central Visayas in 2010, he has demonstrated innovative, initiative-driven leadership in the regional bureau impacting the workplace. He has since ensured that all potential of the staff and employees are utilized and aligned with the annual targets.

The award was conferred during the Management Conference and 2019 Budget Proposal Workshop held in Metro Manila on March 5-10, 2018.
