Al Emil G. Berador has been designated as the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Regional Director of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. VII (MGB 7), as formalized through a Special Order signed by DENR Assistant Secretary for Mining Concerns and concurrent MGB OIC Director, Engr. Michael V. Cabalda.

A graduate of Adamson University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology in 1984, Berador began his career at MGB 7 in the same year. He pursued graduate-level studies at the University of the Philippines–Cebu in 2007 and has served as Chief of the Geosciences Division since 2015.

In light of the retirement of RD Armando L. Malicse, Berador now assumes the responsibilities of regional director in a concurrent capacity while continuing to lead the Geosciences Division. As OIC, he is tasked to uphold the bureau’s mandate and maintain the smooth delivery of its ongoing programs, projects and services. (IO/MGB7)
