The Mines and Geosciences Bureau 7 and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Regional Field Office-7 officially wrapped up its comprehensive, month-long Groundwater Resource and Vulnerability Assessment for the Municipality of Jagna. The milestone was marked by an exit conference held on the afternoon of August 13, 2025, at the Municipal Project Management and Implementing Unit (MPMIU) Office.
The extensive field assessment spanned all 33 barangays of Jagna. It was designed to map out and evaluate the municipality’s critical groundwater resources while simultaneously identifying potential environmental and contamination vulnerabilities to ensure long-term water security for the locality.
Key technical personnel from MGB-DENR RFO-7 spearheaded the conference, including:
