MGB 7 Declares 2,451 Hectares in San Miguel, Talibon, and Trinidad in Bohol Province, Open for New Mining Applications


The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Regional Office No. VII has opened a substantial area in Bohol Province for new mining applications. This process was completed on October 24, 2025 , through the issuance of an Order of Finality and a corresponding Notice. Both documents were signed by OIC, Regional Director AL EMIL G. BERADOR.

Finality on JOHVER MINERALS, INC. Application

The first action was the issuance of an Order of Finality for the Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (APSA) Application No. APSA000111VII filed by JOHVER MINERALS, INC.. The Order confirms that the MGB 7’s Decision dated June 17, 2025, achieved FINALITY on July 17, 2025. This final status was attained because the applicant did not file any motion for reconsideration or an appeal within the required period. Under MGB rules, an Order of Finality is a prerequisite to opening an area to new applications.

Notice of Open Area in Bohol

Following the finality order, the MGB 7 issued a Notice (That the Area is Now Open for Mining Applications) for the territory previously covered.

The area is located within the Municipalities of San Miguel, Talibon, and Trinidad in the Province of Bohol. The Total Area released for applications is 2,451.0930 hectares, which has been subdivided into five parcels based on geographic coordinates:

  • Parcel I: 84.1802 hectares 
  • Parcel II: 93.5334 hectares 
  • Parcel III: 252.5665 hectares 
  • Parcel IV: 1515.5525 hectares 
  • Parcel V: 505.2604 hectares 

The issuance of this Notice signifies that new proponents can now submit applications to the regional office for the exploration or utilization of mineral resources in this specific region.
