MGB 7 Opens Over 799 Hectares in Toledo and Balamban, Cebu, for New Mining Applications
The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Regional Office No. VII has formally declared a substantial area in Cebu Province open for new mining applications. This action follows the issuance of an Order of Finality on a previously filed application for a Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (APSA). Both official documents were signed by OIC, Regional Director AL EMIL G. BERADOR and dated October 24, 2025.
Order of Finality on APSA
The Order of Finality pertains to the Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (APSA) Application No. APSA000375VII filed by ROBERT B. CASTILLO.
The Order states that the Decision rendered by the MGB 7 on March 20, 2025, achieved FINALITY on April 27, 2025. This final status was attained because the applicant failed to file a motion for reconsideration or an appeal. This ruling makes the area previously covered by the application available for new proponents.
