MGB 7 Declares Bohol Area Open for Mining Applications Following Finality of JOHVER MINERALS, INC. Decision
The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Regional Office No. VII has issued a formal Order of Finality and a subsequent Notice declaring a significant area in Bohol Province open to new mining applications. Both documents were issued by OIC, Regional Director AL EMIL G. BERADOR on October 24, 2025.
Order of Finality for APSA
The Order of Finality pertains to the Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (APSA) Application No. APSA000111VII filed by JOHVER MINERALS, INC. The MGB 7 decision dated June 17, 2025, concerning this application has reached FINALITY on July 17, 2025. This finality was reached because the applicant did not file a motion for reconsideration or an appeal within the prescribed period. This ruling effectively clears the area covered by the application, making it available for subsequent applications.
Notice of Open Area for Mining
Upon the decision’s finality, the MGB7 issued a notice formally declaring the area open to mining applications.
The area is located within the Municipalities of San Miguel, Talibon, and Trinidad in the Province of Bohol. The total area is 2,451.0930 hectares, which has been subdivided into five parcels based on geographic coordinates:
- Parcel I: 84.1802 hectares
- Parcel II: 93.5334 hectares
- Parcel III: 252.5665 hectares
- Parcel IV: 1515.5525 hectares
- Parcel V: 505.2604 hectares
This notice indicates that the geographic coordinates defining the area are now available for prospective proponents to submit new mining applications to the regional office.
