MGB 7 Attends ICS Executive Course to Enhance Disaster Preparedness

An Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Course, organized by the Cebu Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense 7 (OCD 7), was recently held at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, Cebu City.

The course, aimed at strengthening the province’s disaster response capabilities, was attended by various officials and members of the Provincial DRRM Council, including Ms. Josephine T. Aleta, OIC-Chief of the Geosciences Division, Mines and Geosciences Bureau 7 (MGB 7).

The whole-day activity, held on September 10, 2025, is part of Governor Pamela Baricuatro’s commitment to ensuring a more unified and efficient response to disasters, such as public health emergencies, natural calamities, and other complex incidents.

The executive course provided participants with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitude required to apply the general concepts and principles of ICS from a manager’s perspective, which is crucial for effective emergency and incident management. (IO/MGB7)
